If you dont know who Sh. Rabee’ is, THEN GET TO KNOW HIM! His biography…

His Biography-

His Name and Lineage:

He is the Shaykh, Al ‘Allaamah, the Muhaddith, Rabee’ bin Haadee bin Mohammad ‘Umayr Al Madkhalee from the tribe of Mudaakhala, a well-known tribe in the Jaazaan district in the southern part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This is one of the tribes of Banu Shabeel. Shabeel was Ibn Yashjab bin Qahtaan.

His Birth:

He was born in the village of Jaraadiyah, which is a small village to the west of the town of Saamitah, close to three kilometers away from it. Now, the village is connected to that town. He was born in the year 1351H, towards the last part of the year. His father passed away almost a year and a half after his birth, so he was raised and brought up in the house of his mother, may Allaah have mercy on her. She supervised him and took charge of raising him in the best possible manner, and she taught him good characteristics, such as honesty and trustworthiness and to be motivated about making the prayers. She would make him go pray, while under the supervision of his paternal uncle.

His Educational Upbringing:

When the Shaykh reached the age of eight, he joined the study circles of the village. There, he learned proper handwriting and recitation (of the Qur’aan). From those who taught him handwriting, were Shaykh Shaybaan Al ‘Areeshee and Al Qaadee Ahmad bin Mohammad Jaabir Al Madkhalee. He also learned under a third person, called Mohammad bin Husayn Makkee from the town of Sibyaa’. He studied the Qur’aan under Shaykh Mohammad bin Mohammad Jaabir Al Madkhalee, as well as the subjects of Tawheed and Tajweed.

Afterwards he studied in the Salafee School of Saamitah. From the teachers whom he studied under in this school, were: the knowledgeable, Shaykh Naasir Khaloofah At-Tiyaash Mubaarakee (rahimahullaah) who was a famous scholar from the major students of Shaykh Al Qar’aawee (rahimahullaah). He studied the books Buloogh Al Maraam and Nuzhat-un-Nadhr of Al Haafidh Ibn Hajr under him.

Then he joined the Educational Institute in Saamitah after that, and there he studied under a number of noble Mashaayikh, the most famous of whom, generally speaking, were: Shaykh Haafidh bin Ahmad Al Hakamee – the well-known great scholar (rahimahullaah) and his brother, Shaykh Mohammad bin Ahmad Al Hakamee. He also studied under the great scholar, the Muhaddith, Ahmad bin Yahyaa An-Najmee, may Allaah preserve him, and the Shaykh, the ‘Allaamah, Dr. Mohammad Amaan bin ‘Alee Al Jaamee (rahimahullaah). He also studied under the Shaykh, the Faqeeh Mohammad Sagheer Khameesee the book Zaad Al Mustaqni’ with regard to the subject of Fiqh. And there are many others whom the Shaykh studied under, such as in the subjects of Arabic Language, Literature, Eloquent Speech (Balaaghah), etc.

In the year 1380H, upon finishing his allotted time, the Shaykh graduated from the Educational Institute of Saamitah. In the beginning of the year 1381H, he joined the Faculty of Sharee’ah in Riyadh and stayed there for a period of one or two months. Then the Islaamic University of Madeenah opened, so he moved to Madeenah and joined the Islaamic University’s Faculty of Sharee’ah. He studied there for a length of four years and graduated in the year 1384H with a grade of Mumtaz (Excellent).

The teachers whom he studied under in the Islaamic University:

1. The Shaykh, the ‘Allaamah, the former Chief Muftee of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, ‘Abdul ‘Azeez bin ‘Abdillaah bin Baaz (rahimahullaah) under whom he studied Al ‘Aqeedah At-Tahaawiyyah.
2. The ‘Allaamah, the Muhaddith, Shaykh Mohammad Naasir-ud-Deen Al-Albaanee (rahimahullaah) under whom he studied the subject of Hadeeth and its chains of narration.
3. The Shaykh, the ‘Allaamah, ‘Abdul-Muhsin Al-’Abbaad, under whom he studied the subject of Fiqh for three years, with the book Bidaayat-ul-Mujtahid.
4. The Shaykh, the ‘Allaamah, the Haafidh and Mufassir, Mohammad Al Ameen Ash-Shanqeetee, author of the book Adwaa-ul-Bayaan, under whom he studied the subjects of Tafseer and the Principles of Fiqh for four years.
5. Shaykh Saalih Al ‘Iraaqee, under whom he studied ‘Aqeedah (Creed).
6. The Shaykh, the Muhaddith, ‘Abdul Ghaffaar Hasan Al Hindee, under whom he studied the Science of Hadeeth and its terms.

After graduating from the Islaamic University of Madeenah, he worked as a teacher in one of the learning institutes of the Islaamic University for a while. Then he joined the Department for Higher Studies at Umm Al Quraa University, where he continued his studies, obtaining his Masters Degree in the subject of Hadeeth in 1397H, by having completed his dissertation, which is well known as ‘Between the two Imaams, Muslim and Ad-Daaraqutnee.’

Then in the year 1400H, he obtained his Doctorate Degree from Umm Al Quraa also, with the grade of Mumtaz (Excellent). And this was because of his checking of the book ‘An-Nukat ‘alaa Kitaab Ibn as-Salaah’ of Al-Haafidh Ibn Hajr (rahimahullaah).

After that, he went back to working as a teacher in the Islaamic University (of Madeenah) in the Faculty of Hadeeth, where he taught Hadeeth and its Sciences. He became head of the Department of Sunnah in the Department for Higher Studies several times. Now, he currently holds the position of chair-holding professor.

His Attributes and Characteristics:

The Shaykh, may Allaah preserve him, is distinguished by his great humbleness in front of his (Muslim) brothers, students, questioners and visitors. He is humble with regard to his household, his clothes and his means of transportation – not liking to have luxury in any of these things. He is also always joyful and with a cheerful countenance. He doesn’t fatigue his students with too much talk. And his gatherings are always filled with readings in Hadeeth and the Sunnah and warnings against innovation and its people, to the extent that a person that doesn’t know him well or mix with him may think to himself that the Shaykh doesn’t preoccupy himself except with doing this! He loves the Salafee Students of Knowledge and he is polite to them and treats them kindly. And he strives to assist them with their needs as much as he is able to, both physically and financially. His home is always open to the students of knowledge, to the point that not one day passes that he is able to eat his breakfast or lunch or dinner by himself. And he inquires about his students and assists them and shares with them.

He is among the persistent and enthusiastic callers to the Qur’aan and the Sunnah and the Creed of the Salaf. Many in these times cannot equal his great zeal and passion for the Sunnah and the Creed of the Salaf. And in our time, he is from those who are defending this methodology of the Salaf as-Saalih, day and night, in hidden and in open, without letting the accusations of the critics censure him, for the sake of Allaah.

The Scholar’s Praise for him:

In a tape entitled ‘Al-Muwaazanaat: A modern-day Innovation’, the late Imaam Al Albaanee (rahimahullaah), praised Shaykh Rabee’, saying:

“And in brief, I say that the Carrier of the Flag of (the science of) Al-Jarh wat-Ta’deel today, in this present time, and rightfully so, is our brother, Dr. Rabee’. And those who refute him do not do so with knowledge at all. And the knowledge is with him. And even though I have told him often that if he would only be softer in his manners, which would be more beneficial for the masses of people, whether they are with him or against him. But as for with respect to knowledge, then there is absolutely no grounds for criticizing him, except for that which I have mentioned just now that there is some severity in (his) manners. But as for the saying that he is not fair, then this is a statement that carries no weight. No one says such a statement except for one of two people – either he is ignorant, so he must learn, or he is biased and following his desires. So this person, we have no recourse with regard to him, except to supplicate to Allaah to guide him to the Straight Path.”

In the tape ‘Questions from Sweden’, Imaam Ibn Baaz (rahimahullaah) was asked about Shaykh Rabee’ and responded:

“Indeed, Shaykh Rabee’ is from the scholars of the Sunnah – (and then he mentioned Shaykh Mohammad Amaan Al Jaamee with him and said) – the two of them are known to me for their knowledge and virtue.”

In a cassette entitled ‘Al ‘Uthaymeen’s Meeting with Rabee’ Al Madkhalee and Muhammad Al Imaam’, Shaykh Mohammad bin Saalih Al ‘Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah), said when asked: “There is a question concerning the books of Shaykh Rabee’?”

“It is clear that this question is in no need of my response, for as Imaam Ahmad was once asked about Ishaaq bin Raahawayh – may Allaah have mercy on them all – so he said: ‘The likes of me is asked about Ishaaq? Rather Ishaaq should be asked about me!’ I have already spoken at the start of my talk about what I know of Shaykh Rabee’, may Allaah grant him success. And I still insist until now on what I stated then. And his coming here and his talk in which he informed me of what he did – no doubt – are from the things that only increase a person in his love for him and his supplicating for him.”

‘The Scholars’ Praise for Shaykh Rabee’’ Maktab Al Idreesi, Yemen. [E-Book]

Produced by Al-Ibaanah.com

If you see a man praising evil people and the scholars of misguidance….know that he is disobedient, corrupt and astray!!!

All praise is due to Allah, and may exaltation and safety be granted to Muhammad, his family, his companions, and those who aid them. To proceed:

Al-Imam al-Barbahaaree [d. 329 A.H.] (1), may Allah have mercy on him, said in his monumental work, Sharh as-Sunnah, point #141:

If you hear a man speak well of Ibn Abee Du’aad (2), Bishr (3), Thumaamah (4), Abul-Huthayl (5), Hishaam al-Futee (6), or any of their followers and supporters, scrutinize [him], and beware of him, for indeed, innovation is with him. These people were upon apostasy, so abandon this man who spoke well of them…(7)/(8)

Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan, may Allah protect him, commented on this passage by saying:

“If you see a man praising evil people and the scholars of misguidance, such as the hatchlings of the Jahmiyyah, know that he is disobedient, corrupt and astray. This is because he would not have praised them if he did not love them and approve of their path. And if you see a man applauding the likes of al-Imam Ahmad and [al-Imam] Ibn Mubaarak; likewise, he applauds the scholars of the Taabi’een and those who came after them, know that he is a person who has good with him. This is because he only applauds the people of the Sunnah because he loves the Sunnah and firm adherence to it.

This teaches us a lesson: Some brothers or some students of knowledge praise some of the people of innovation or the people of desires and deviant views. He does not thoroughly examine their views and their course. Yet, he belittles and speaks ill of those who are good people. This happens because he lends an ear to those who belittle them, and [as a result], he believes them. This is extremely dangerous if a person degrades good people, the people of knowledge and the people of the Sunnah; yet, he applauds people with deviated views and ways. This is extremely dangerous.

If only he would not have sat with them. This is some of what al-Imam al-Barbahaaree warns us about from that which people have fallen into now.” (9)

Shaykh Rabee Ibn Haadee al-Madkhalee, may Allah protect him, said:

“Regretfully, the affair has been turned upside down. We find many who connect themselves to the Salafi methodology befriending the people of innovation. They show concern for them, their methodology and their books, and they defend all of the aforementioned. However, you notice them fleeing, chasing [people] away and warning against those who uphold the truth and the Sunnah. Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return!” (10)

(2) Ibn Abee Du’aad al-Mu’atazilee [d. 240 A.H.] was a figurehead of misguidance. He incited the government [during his time] to test the people about the creation of the Qur’aan.

Performing Adhaan/Iqaamah in a newborns ear (is a weak hadeeth)

Shaykh Rabee’: By Allaah, it is weak (i.e. a weak hadeeth). The hadeeth about it is weak, and as long as it is weak we cannot say that it is something either recommended or obligatory, because of the fact that something being recommended is an Islamic ruling and an obligation is even a much greater (Islamic Ruling).

Yes, the Aqeeqah, giving a name (to the child), rubbing a date on the newborn’s palate, all of this is authentic in the Sunnah. As for the Adhaan, it is not established. It was reported in a weak Hadeeth. [Source: Cassette Titled: Ar-raddu ‘ala ahlil bida’ jihaad]

Refutation of Mohammed al-Shinqitee (the guy who cries a lot on youtube)

Who Is Muhammad Al-Mukhtar Ash-Shinqitee?

Al-’Allaamah Rabee’ Ibn Haadee al-Madkhalee Warns against the Soofee Muhammad Mukhtaar ash-Shanqeetee

Al-’Allaamah Rabee’ Ibn Haadee al-Madkhalee was asked, “One of the brothers gave us a series explaining ’Umdatul-A…hkaam by Shaykh Muhammad {Mukhtaar} ash-Shanqeetee and it consisted of four hundred tapes. So we made it an endowment in the mosque.”

So the Noble Shaykh answered, “I have not read this explanation. And it is said that he is a man who does not distinguish the weak ahaadeeth, and that he walks with the hizbiyyeen and the Soofiyyah. And he has no connection with Ahlus-Sunnah. So I am not able to praise his cultivation and I do not praise him. Then, who is the one who circulates the tapes of this man? So Ahlus-Sunnah do not circulate his tapes, only the hizbiyyeen circulate them, even if they do not make their tahazzub (party spirit) apparent. However, when we see these hizbiyyeen gathering upon him, applauding his tapes and considering him an Imaam from amongst the Imaams of the Muslims, it should prove to you that this man is from amongst them. So he is a dangerous bridge that connects the youth to tahazzub (party spirit) and flings them into the heart of hizbiyyah. So the books of the Salaf that are present are sufficient for you. And the Salafee fiqh is sufficient for you, because this will connect you to other things. May Allaah bless you.”

The Muftee of Jeezaan, al-‘Allaamah Ahmad Ibn Yahyaa an-Najmee Warns against Muhammad Mukhtaar ash-Shanqeetee

The Muftee of Jeezaan, al-’Allaamah Ahmad Ibn Yahyaa an-Najmee – hafidhahullaah – was asked, “Should we attend the lessons of Sh…aykh Muhammad Mukhtaar ash-Shanqeetee in fiqh?” So he answered, “It has been mentioned to us about this man that he has something of tasawwuf. So due to this, I say that once something contrary to the manhaj of the Salaf has been observed from him, then it is better to remain far away from him.”

Is it Permissible for a Women to Forbid the Evil Upon A Man She Meets in the Street?

Is it permissible for a woman to forbid the evil upon a man when she is in the street?

هل يجوز للمرأة أن تنكر منكرا على رجل وهي في الطريق?

If there are no men found forbidding the evil then she does so, she says “fear Allaah O muslim and leave this off” and she is veiled and modest, because Allaah most high says The believers, men and women, are Auliyaa (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another; they enjoin (on the people) Al-Ma’roof (i.e. Islaamic Monotheism and all that Islaam orders one to do), and forbid (people) from Al-Munkar (i.e. polytheism and disbelief of all kinds, and all that Islaam has forbidden. {Soorah (9) Ayah(71)}. So the believing men and believing women both of them enjoin the good and forbid the evil, so if there is no one found forbidding that evil then she forbids it upon him while she is modest and she intends by that, the face of Allah Azza wa Jal , by the permission of Allsah she has enjoined the good and forbade the evil. I fear from some women that they will take from this ayah and other than it and they will go out veiled and give lectures and seminars and mix with the men under the pretext of forbidding the evil! So this is not permissible and they ascend the pulpit in the masjid and forbid the evil! Like how this female devil did in America!!!

Shaykh Rabee` bin Haadee
Translated by Muhammad Elmi

Who are those for whoms Allaah has prepared Jannah, as wide as the Heavens and the Earth?

Who are those for whoms Allaah has prepared Jannah, as wide as the Heavens and the Earth? By Allaah, He did not prepare it for the liars, nor for the slanderers, nor for the fabricators, He prepared it for the truthful ones, the people of Taqwa.

Therefore, let us wean ourselves of these matters that bring us down, into which many people slip. I remember a story – a servant attended to Ali ibn Al Hussein Ibn Ali Ibn Abi Talib, may Allaah be pleased with them, with hot water, so she was pouring the water upon him as he prepared for the Salat, and the jug fell from her hand onto his face and scratched it. So he raised his head to her so she said, ‘Indeed Allaah says, ‘and who repress anger!

He said, ‘I have repressed my anger.’

She said, ‘and who pardon men!’

He said, ‘May Allaah forgive you.’

She said, ‘Verily, Allaah loves Al-Muhsinun (the good-doers).’

He said, ‘Go because you are free!’ [1]

We want these manners! And how many examples are there of this type! One of the Bedouins came to the Messenger صلي الله عليه و سلم from behind him and grabbed hold of his cloak until its border made a mark upon his shoulder, then he said:

“O Muhammad! Order portion for me from the property of Allaah that is with you!’ [2]

So the Messenger of Allaah صلي الله عليه و سلم turned to him smiling and ordered that he be given something. This is gentleness, forgiveness, tolerance and repression of anger and every good; he turned smiling صلي الله عليه و سلم !

Who does this? He is our example from Allaah,

“Indeed in the Messenger of Allaah you have a good example to follow for him who hopes for (the Meeting with) Allaah and the Last Day, and remembers Allaah much.” [3]

The one who hopes for the Meeting with Allaah and the Last Day, then let him take the Noble Messenger صلي الله عليه و سلم as his example. So it is obligatory, O Brothers that you place before you these texts from the Qur’aan and the likes of these characteristics. A person needs to struggle against himself because the soul is in need of striving, schooling and nurturing.

You want Jannah as wide as the Heavens and the Earth, yet you are stingy with your wealth?

Allaah prepares Jannah for you, as wide as the Heavens and the Earth, and you want to be stingy with the obligatory and preferred deeds? You are not compassionate with the poor, or with the orphan, or with a relative and you want Jannah as wide as the Heavens and the Earth? The merchandise of Allaah is expensive! It requires that the person offers everything he possesses in this Life, his self, and his wealth, as Allaah says, Glorified and Exalted be He,

“Verily, Allaah has purchased of the believers their lives and their properties for (the price) that theirs shall be the Paradise. They fight in Allaah’s Cause, so they kill (others) and are killed. It is a promise in truth, which binding on Him in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) and the Qur’an. And who is truer to his convenant than Allaah? Then rejoice in the bargain which you have concluded. That is the supreme success.”

[At-Taubah: 111]

The seeker of Jannah must act. He must be truthful in Eemaan and truthful in actions, according to the attributes that Allaah has described,

“Those who spend their wealth (in Allaah’s cause) by night and day, in secret and in public, they shall have their reward with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.”

And here, Allaah says, Blessed and Exalted, ‘Those who spend (in Allaah’s cause) in prosperity and in adversity.’ ‘Adversity’ is during the time of famine, and ‘propserity’ is the time of affluence. So he does not cease this spending and his generosity or from seizing these opportunities. And opportunity does not come except that he seizes it, seeking by that Allaah’s Face, Blessed and Exalted, not in order to be seen or to be heard of and not so that it might be said ‘So and so is generous,’ or that praises be showered on him. Indeed he wants, with that, the Face of Allaah, Blessed and Exalted. If he gives to the poor, he gives to them seeking Allaah’s Face, not wanting any recompense or thanks from them,

‘Verily, We Fear from our Lord a Day, hard and distressful, that will make the faces look horrible (from extreme dislike to it).’
