Must Read | “The companions were not amazed by their righteous actions, their worship and night prayer…

Shaykh Rabee bin Haadi Al-Madkhali (hafidhahullaah ta’ala) said,

“The companions were not amazed by their righteous actions, their worship and night prayer. Nor did they say: the fact that we prayed at night then we are deserving of paradise! As some foolish ones think such as the innovators and misguided ones!!” Ibn Abi Mulaika said “I have met thirty Companions of the Messenger (salAllaahu alayhi wa salaam) and all of them feared hypocricy for themselves.” [Ahmed 2/237] [Muslim 588]. Hasan said “none fears it except a believer and none feels secure from it except a hypocrite” [Fath 1/134]. This was to their being so careful and far away from falling into amazement with one’s self and actions, hence they were afraid of falling into hypocricy. Are we like that O’ brothers?! Do we find this spirit and feeling that we fear for ourselves?!!

The trial of Imam Ahmad, in his time, from the people of misguidance, claiming the Qur’aan was created- MUST READ

This issue, of claiming that the Qur’an is created, as you all are aware, is very serious. Great trial occured for Ahl As-Sunnah due to this issue, and at the head of (those who sustained great difficulty and tribulations was) Al-Imam Ahmed. During this trial, people were imprisoned, tortured, and killed. All of this was done by the Jahmiyah and the Mutazilah during the time of Al-Ma’mun, Al-Mu’tasim, and Al-Wathiq, during three different leaderships from the Abbasid Dynasty. The Islamic Ummah was put through a great trial by way of the Jahmiyah, the Mutazilah, and the other people of misguidance and deviation, where they gained power over the People of the Sunnah, but in the end Allaah decreed that the good end would be for His pious servants. Al Imam Ahmad exerted immense patience, persevering upon imprisonment, torture, and severe burdens that even the mountains would not be able to bare. So Allaah raised his level and his status, eventually becoming the Imam of Ahl As-Sunnah in truth.

Question: Some of our Salafi brothers sit with the people who follow their desires, (What is your advice to them)?

Response (By Shaykh Rabee’) I will mention some examples for you. The likes of this happend to Ibn Aqil, Al-Bayhaqi, Al-Harawi, and many others throughout Islamic History. Many people throughout history were enticed by the knowledge they have, so they sat with the people of innovation and desires, leading them to lost (I.e. Deviation). In this are many lessons and admonitions. This occurred to people that once followed the way of the Salaf, but because they sat with the people of innovation, mixed with them, and read the books of the people of falsehood, they deviated and got lost. So my advice for these individuals is to benefit from their brothers, and before that to benefit from the great Manhaj which encourages you to be safe from all deviance and misguidance, and protected from all evil. By Allaah, nothing is equal to safety from misguidance and trials.

Question: Is rebelling against the Muslim Rulers only with the sword, or does it include speaking ill of them?

Response (Shaykh Rabee’): All of this is considered revolting against the ruler. The one who invokes the people with his speech, he is referred to as Al-Qu’ad. Al-Ibadiyah are from this type of khawaarij, they encourage jihad, but they themselves do not go out, but simply encourage the people to go out. So these people are called Al-Khawarij Al-Qu’ad. As for the one who rebels with the sword, then his affairs is clear, he is a clear rebel. But nevertheless, all of them are khawarij

• Is it Permissible for a Women to Forbid the Evil Upon A Man She Meets in the Street?

Question:

Is it permissible for a woman to forbid the evil upon a man when she is in the street?

هل يجوز للمرأة أن تنكر منكرا على رجل وهي في الطريق?

Answer:

If there are no men found forbidding the evil then she does so, she says “fear Allaah O muslim and leave this off” and she is veiled and modest, because Allaah most high says The believers, men and women, are Auliyaa (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another; they enjoin (on the people) Al-Ma’roof (i.e. Islaamic Monotheism and all that Islaam orders one to do), and forbid (people) from Al-Munkar (i.e. polytheism and disbelief of all kinds, and all that Islaam has forbidden. {Soorah (9) Ayah(71)}. So the believing men and believing women both of them enjoin the good and forbid the evil, so if there is no one found forbidding that evil then she forbids it upon him while she is modest and she intends by that, the face of Allah Azza wa Jal , by the permission of Allsah she has enjoined the good and forbade the evil. I fear from some women that they will take from this ayah and other than it and they will go out veiled and give lectures and seminars and mix with the men under the pretext of forbidding the evil! So this is not permissible and they ascend the pulpit in the masjid and forbid the evil! Like how this female devil did in America!!!

Shaykh Rabee’s beauitful advice about brotherhood, kindness to each other & labelling each other with “harsh” and “lenient”..

Advice from Shaykh Rabee Hafidhahullah

So I advise now, there is an attitude that is rupturing the Salafees, “This one is harsh” and “this one is lenient” and it is picked up by the people of innovation to have the Salafees fight each other. So I advise the Salafees in every place to study the Manhaj (methodology) of the Salaf as-Saalih and the position of the Salaf and combining all their sayings on this madhhab (way) and to abandon name calling and he-said, she-said with what is between them and to agree to stand united together in the face of the Bid’ah (innovations) with proofs, clear evidences, knowledge, and clarity.

I know that now there are people who insult the people of Madeenah, so I advice everyone to Fear Allaah –tabaaraka wa ta’aala-. Islaam does not ask us to set up all the people into one form. If he splits with the Truth then he is encouraged. My brother, do not forsake him. If you see your brother weak, then be patient with him.

“The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allaah than the weak believer, and in both of them are good.”

And if you are a weak believer, then do not forsake your brother. And if this one is a strong believer, he should not destroy his weak brother. So hold fast and make yourselves one group (Jamaa’ah) and leave off this talk and resolve this issue.

I advise everyone to Fear Allaah and become brothers (fraternize) and help each other upon piety and righteousness. Whoever is strong, then speak with the Truth so he is not opposed. He will be encouraged and not disgraced with harshness for this is the greatest opportunity for the people of innovations. One word spoken by some of the scholars (mashayikh) for a people who strive to call to Allaah and clarify, they become attached to it and then attack the Da’wah of Salafiyyah with it. So these expressions used to degrade by some of the brothers, “lenient one“, and “harsh one” should be abandoned. If your brother is calling (to Allaah) and he has something from weakness then do not forsake him and do not destroy him. If you encourage your brother and speak a true word and he splits from it then do not reinforce him. This is some advice for everyone.

Consequences of Ar-Riya- Showing Off- Subhaan Allaah!! Must Read!

Here are some Consequences of Ar-Riyya` (Showing off):

1- Ar-Riyya` is minor shirk – that does not remove one from Islaam – but it is shirk nonetheless, and therefore worse than bid’ah that does not reach the level of kufr, and also worse than major sins such as usury, sodomy, fornication, drinking alcohol, gambling… It can be major shirk, as Shaikh Muhammad ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhab al-Wasaabee (hafidhahullaah) explained while teaching al-Qawl-ul- Mufeed Fee Adillatit Tawheed: “Ar-Riyaa` (showing off) can be from ash-Shirk al-Akbar if a person performs an action only for the people. And it can be from ash-Shirk al-Asghar if a person starts with the right intention, but then ar-riyaa` overcomes him.”

Shaikh Rabee’ bin Haadee al-Madkhalee (hafidhahullaah), in his khutbah The Path to Guidance – as-Salafiyah – The Balanced Path, said: “There are two types of ar-Riyaa`: one that negates all of Tawheed, and one that negates the completeness of Tawheed.”

2- It nullifies the action. He will not receive a reward on the Day of Judgement for it.

3- Humiliation. Allaah will command him to go to those he showed off for in this world, and see if they have a reward for him. And as the scholars explained, Allaah will also expose this person in this world.

4- It may be a cause of entering the hellfire – aoodhubillaah! – even if it is not forever.

Ibn Taymeeyah (rahimahullaah) said: “Without doubt al-Ikhlaas negates the reason for entering into the Fire. Therefore, whoever enters the fire, from those who said: ‘La illaaha ila Allaah (there is none worthy of worship except Allaah),’ then this is proof that he never implemented the sincerity of La illaaha ila Allaah, which would have prohibited him from the fire. [al-Fataawa, 10/261]

5- It can lead to hypocrisy – aoodhubillaah! – since the hypocrites do deeds to be seen by men, while they disbelieve. And the hypocrites, of course, will be in the lowest level of the hellfire. Ibnul-Qayyim said: “If a benefit could be achieved from an action performed without Ikhlaas, then Allaah would not have criticised the hypocrites.” [al-Fawaa`id, 65]

And refuge in Allaah is taken from falling into ar-Riyya`, and that which ar-Riyya` may lead to.
